Offsite Meal Service Delivery Models: Visions and Challenges

June 4
3:00 – 3:30pm
Room 518A
If schools in your area don’t have kitchens, what are the ways of delivering universal meal programs that are healthy and delicious, prepared in offsite locations? In this session you will hear from 2 organizations offering school meal programs: one non-profit and one for-profit. Join us to learn and ask questions about a range of topics: building relationships with school staff, volunteers, and students; differing payment models and managing orders; navigating logistics and distribution from offsite kitchens to schools.  How can pilot projects effectively scale up within a community, or a business scale from one province to another? Learn about approaches that can suit your context.
